Step 1:
Let's start out by creating a new document. I used a 600x600 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color.Step 2:
Just to be organize create a new layer set(Layer > New > Layer Set) and name it 'Playstation 3'. Now make a new layer and draw a black rectangle, size 248 x 369 px.Step 3:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your black rectangle layer.Step 4:
Create a new layer, on the left side of your gradient rectangle draw a white rectangle with an exact size of 73x369 px. Make sure there is one pixel space from the end of the rectangle.Step 5:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your white rectangle layer.Step 6:
In a new layer draw another white rectangle, size 52x369 px on the left end of your current design.Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your white rectangle layer from the last step. Then on your layers palette set the layers blending mode to Darken at 39% opacity.Step 8:
Now select your Eraser Tool with a large soft brush, 170 px to be exact. Then erase the top and bottom of your white rectangle layer with styles attached.Step 9:
Create a new layer. Next to your gradient rectangle draw a #F4F4F4 color shade rectangle, size 7x364 px. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options.Step 10:
Create another layer and draw a #353535 color shade rectangle, size 40x363 px.Step 11:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your #353535 color shade rectangle layer.Step 12:
In a new layer draw a small right triangle with #636363 color shade right above the light gray rectangle from step nine.Step 13:
Again create a new layer and draw a black rectangle, size 37x188 px at the same location as shown on the picture guide below. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.Step 14:
Now create a new layer and draw a thin, #444643 color shade rectangle at the same location as shown on the picture below. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.Step 15:
Select your Horizontal Type Tool and above your screen under the options palette set the font family to Arial, bold, 7 pt, crisp and #B5B0C7 color shade. In a new text layer type 'Sony'. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option.Step 16:
Now select the Zoom Tool and zoom in at the same location shown below. Create a new layer, grab your pencil tool then draw two lines stacked with one another. First line has a #484848 color shade and the second line under it has a #1A1A1A color shade.Step 17:
Create a new layer and draw a 2 pixels white line as shown on the picture below. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option and set the layers blending mode to Darken.Step 18:
In a new layer draw a 1 pixel, #363636 color shade line at right end of your current design. Make sure you leave a four pixels space from the end of the design.Step 19:
Using your Pen Tool create a curve design on top of the large rectangle. Then add the same curve design at the bottom by flipping it horizontal( Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal).Step 20:
Select your Horizontal Type Tool and above your screen under the options palette set the font family to Homoarakhn, regular, 13 pt, crisp and white color. In a new text layer type 'Playstation 3' on the center of your large rectangle. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Stroke blending option.Step 21:
In a new layer draw a black rectangle overlaping the 'playstation 3' text. Then select your Eraser Tool with a large soft brush, 170 px to be exact and erase the top and bottom end of the black rectangle so it has a fade effect.Step 22:
Set the opacity level of the black rectangle layer from step twnety one to 56%.Step 23:
Now add the function buttons, first save the icons below and insert them into your canvas. Resize the buttons by going to Edit > Transform > Scale and position them as shown below.Step 24:
And finally add the playstation logo. Use the same method from the last step for the logo.Step 25:
Finish it off by adding reflections, first duplicate your 'Playstation 3' layer set. To do this highlight the layer set in your layers pallette and go to Layer > Merge Layer Set. Then turn it upside down through Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal.Now place the duplicate Playstation 3 model design layer behind the original 'Playerstation 3' layer set. The layer is titled 'Set 2 copy' on the picture below.
