Apply Textures

STEP 1: Open a photo to apply a new texture. We choose this one:

STEP 2: Now open the image that you want to apply:

Press Ctrl + A (Select All), and copy the image (Ctrl + C). Go to the original photo and paste the texture (Ctrl + V).
You will have the photo as Background, and the texture as Layer 1.

STEP 3: Hide the texture

and select the Lasso Tool (L). Draw a selection to select approximately the area that you want to cover:

STEP 4: Invert the selection (Select -> Inverse or Ctrl + Shift + I). Turn visible the texture layer again, and select it.
Press DEL key to erase the selection:

STEP 5: Double click on texture layer to open Blending options. At the bottom, move the sliders to set the blending values of texture layer and underlying layer. We use this values:

STEP 6: Once you had the final values, select Eraser Tool (E) and erase the remaining dots and imperfections.
Erase the details that you want to keep untexturized.

STEP 7: Set the Opacity to 65 - 75 %
